With shaving soap: Wet your face (preferably after showering), briefly run the shaving brush under warm water, and work the soap into the bowl (without crushing the bristles) until you get a thick, soft lather. Then, for two or three minutes, apply the lather to your face in circular motions to sufficiently soften and restore the beard hairs. With shaving cream: First, prepare your face thoroughly by wetting the shaving brush with warm water. Then, apply a little cream to the tip of the shaving brush and lather your face for one or two minutes, as described above. Some users prefer to apply a little cream directly from the tube to each cheek and then work it into a lather with the shaving brush. To maintain the quality of your shaving brush for many years, we recommend rinsing it after each use to remove any traces of cream or soap, letting it drain, and then lightly pat it dry with a towel before hanging it upside down on the stand.
