Philip Kingsley, born in London's East End in 1930, became a world-leading expert in hair and scalp care. His passion for hair began in his uncle's hairdressing salon, where he began assisting at the age of 16. Even then, he recognized the profound psychological significance of hair for men and women. In 1968, he opened a hair care clinic in Mayfair, London, and in 1977, a branch on Fifth Avenue in New York. Starting with a basic range of five products, it now offers over 50 customized formulations.

A TRUE VISIONARY OF HAIR CARE

Philip Kingsley's passion for hair began at the age of 16 when he was helping out in his uncle's hair salon in London's East End. Recognizing early on the significant psychological impact hair has on self-esteem, he dedicated his career to helping people achieve their best hair. Kingsley was a pioneer in hair care, developing the first pre-shampoo treatment, the Elasticizer, for Audrey Hepburn. His work earned him numerous awards and titles such as Hair Guru, Hair Wizard, and Hair Doctor. His dedication inspired his daughter, Anabel Kingsley, to also become a trichologist. As President of the brand, she continues and develops Philip Kingsley's legacy in hair care.
